The Royal United Company has teamed up with NARGC to provide a great location for our clients, their club consists of a club house, trap and skeet field as well as a rifle & pistol range. The North American Rod & Gun Club was founded in 1939 and is one of the oldest and largest sporting clubs in Washington County. The club is situated on nearly 180 acres bordering Antietam Creek, just east of Hagerstown, Maryland.


The Club house has a bar and kitchen which is open 6 days a week. Closed Mondays.

    Professional coaching is always available as needed if requested at no extra cost.

  • Do you have loner guns?

    12 & 20 Gauge Loaner guns are available at no extra cost.

  • Do you supply ammunition?

    Yes, but at ADDED cost


    • 12 gauge $6.50 per box (25 rounds)
    • 20 gauge $7.00 per box (25 rounds)

  • How much ammo will I use?

    You will shoot a box each time you go up and could possibly shoot 4 separate times. Depending on your skill level depends on how much you will shoot, a complete beginner could possibly only shoot 1 box.

  • How long will the event take?

    Allow for approximately 45 minutes for every 2 shooters.

  • Do I need a license?

    No License is required.

  • What about Insurance?

    A form is required to be clearly filled out and signed by EVERY participant.

    We have 4 guns available, although shooters are required to bring their own.

  • Do you supply ammunition?

    Yes, but at ADDED cost

  • How long will the event take?

    The general rule is to have a group of 4 or 5 shooters at each station. It will take up to 2.5 hours per 50 shooters. Each group of 50 can be split up in to separate times throughout the day otherwise known as flights, example below:


    • 8am to 10:30: 50 shooters
    • 11:30am to 2pm: 50 shooters
    • 3pm to 5:30pm: 50 shooters

  • Do I need a license?

    No License is required.

  • Do I need Volunteers?

    It is required that you have two people for signing shooters in and for collecting/working out the scores at the end.


    You can have a volunteer at each station but is not required as the course is a “self-pull Course”.

  • What about Insurance?

    A form is required to be clearly filled out and signed by EVERY participant.
