The Royal United Company has teamed up with NARGC to provide a great location for our clients, their club consists of a club house, trap and skeet field as well as a rifle & pistol range. The North American Rod & Gun Club was founded in 1939 and is one of the oldest and largest sporting clubs in Washington County. The club is situated on nearly 180 acres bordering Antietam Creek, just east of Hagerstown, Maryland.


The Club house has a bar and kitchen which is open 6 days a week. Closed Mondays.

Questions & Answers

  • What about Insurance?

    Release forms will be supplied for the day of the event. A form is required to be clearly filled out and signed by EVERY participant.

  • Do you have loner guns?

    Only four 12 or 20 Gauge Loaner guns are available.

  • Do you supply ammunition?

    It is recommended that shooters bring their own ammunition.


    Although ammunition is always on hand for shooters to purchase.

  • How long will the event take?

    The general rule is to have a group of 4 or 5 shooters at each station. It will take up to 2.5 hours per 50 to 75 shooters. Each group of 50 can be split up in to separate times throughout the day otherwise known as flights, example below:


    • 8am to 10:30: 50 shooters
    • 11:30am to 2pm: 50 shooters
    • 3pm to 5:30pm: 50 shooters

  • Can I bring a minor?

    Children can patriciate as long as they weigh over 90 lbs. Some children are bigger than others and this is the recommendation from the NSCA.

  • What about coaching?

    Professional coaching is always available as needed if requested at no extra cost.

  • Do you have loner guns?

    12 & 20 Gauge Loaner guns are available at no extra cost.

  • Do you supply ammunition?

    Yes, but at ADDED cost


    • 12 gauge: market rate per box (25 rounds)
    • 20 gauge: market rate per box (25 rounds)

  • How much ammo will I use?

    You will shoot a box each time you go up and could possibly shoot 4 separate times. Depending on your skill level depends on how much you will shoot, a complete beginner could possibly only shoot 1 box.

  • How long will the event take?

    Allow for approximately 45 minutes for every 10 shooters.

  • Do I need a license?

    No License is required.

  • What about Insurance?

    A form is required to be clearly filled out and signed by EVERY participant.
